Keith has been a licensed builder since 1972 (Lic. No. 5683) and has been a member of the Housing Industry Association for over 30 years, as well as the ASBC. Keith originally entered the building industry and graduated as a carpenter and joiner from North Sydney Technical College in 1962 and completed his Building Foreman and Clerk of Works Course in 1965. During that time Keith furthered his career in the building industry working for a number of building companies engaged in the housing sector and also included a short time in commercial high-rise construction with Kell & Rigby, a well-known firm at the time.
Keith became a sub-contract carpenter involved in the building of Lend Lease Homes and later progressed to become a building supervisor of Lend Lease Homes. He progressed to having his own business as a building contractor for over 30 years, specialising in the construction of domestic homes, large and small; alterations and additions; townhouses and units; and of light industrial developments. Keith has been a building consultant for the past 20 years with particular interest in helping people solve their problems, by providing solutions and seeing these issues through to a successful outcome.
